Director's Staff - Al Kaly Shriners

The Director's Staff is composed of Nobles from other units in Al Kaly Shrine. The Director is appointed by the potentate each year and serves at the will and pleasure of the Illustrious Sir. The director in turn appoints an assistant director and secretary/treasurer. Dues for the Director’s Staff are $10.00 per year. The Al Kaly Director's Staff is a member of the "Shrine Directors Association of North America". The national association of directors holds a convention each year in various locations throughout the United States and the Divan, director and his staff are encouraged to attend.taff are encouraged to attend.
At this convention Shrine units of North America perform their "tricks" that are used in the second session and judged accordingly. Also, any changes from Imperial are brought forth regarding what can be used and what cannot be used. There is also a question and answer program. This session also invites the ladies and has a program designed for the Ladies, while their Nobles are working.
We assist the Ritualistic Team in the first section of any ceremonial and make the second section a fun, memorable day for our new candidates, making sure there is no embarrassment or humiliation. Each candidate is asked if he wishes to participate in the second session and if he does not want to for personal, or medical reasons is excused from this section. In this section we use fun tricks and involve the first and second line signers, or personal friends of the candidate.
Each candidate is welcomed first thing in the morning by a member of the Director's Staff and accompanied throughout the day buy a member of the Director’s Staff or Ritualistic Team. Produced by the Director's Staff and Ritualistic Team. This program is used as an educational tool for the new Noble, his family and public. We also perform the arch program as directed by the potentate as a membership tool at various locations.
The Arch Program demonstrates the quality values of masonry and the Shrine, thereby allowing the new candidate, his family, friends and guests to experience an impressive and everlasting positive image of the Shrine. We try to perform a camel herder's degree once a year for fun, as most other Shrine temples do.
Our equipment for the Ceremonial and Arch Program is transported in a 12 x 20 trailer with the Shrine emblem on each side and the telephone number for the hospital visible for the public to see when on the road. When after the second section, the arch program is produced by the Director's Staff and Ritualistic Team. This program is used as an educational tool for the new Noble, his family and public. We also perform the Arch program as directed by the Potentate as a membership tool at various locations.
