The NOMADS of Al Kaly do several camping trips during the year, starting when the weather permits, usually in April, and ending, usually, in September. We coincide many of the outings with Al Kaly’s schedule so we’re there for parades, Official Visits, etc., in support of the Potentate and Al Kaly. Individual members schedule in their “sponsorship” of the outing, taking charge of the event for that time.
The last campout for 2005 was at the KOA in Colorado City. It was a fun time. They have a miniature golf course at our disposal, the Hostess does our meals and we had excellent singing / guitar music for our pleasure and dancing Saturday night.
The theme for the weekend activity was decorating the doors of the rigs for autumn that had to include a sunflower in it. A prize was awarded for the best decorated.
A few members ventured to nearby beautiful San Isabelle Lake to use some idle time on Saturday morning.
Some of the pictures show the lake and the decorated rigs.
If you have an RV you’re encouraged to join us.
