Introductions were given.

Chaplain Henry gave the Invocation, the Legion of Honor presented The Colors while the Band played the National Anthem, and IS Steve led in the Pledge of Allegiance

IS Steve opened the meeting at 1:25pm.

The minutes from the January 8, 2010 meeting were approved as published on the Al Kaly web site.

The Treasurer’s Report was given and accepted.

Correspondence. None

Necrology Report. Chaplain Henry read the Necrology Report honoring the following nobles: Elmer L. John, Harry W. Meason, and Jay Barrilleaux.

There were no petitions, affiliations, restorations, and demits. There was one suspension: Billy E. Sanders.

Old Business.

IS Steve thanked all that participated in the IHOP fund raiser on February 23, 2010. He reported that over $11,000 had been collected from this charitable fund raiser.

IS Bob Burr gave a membership report. He broke member ship down in to three areas and the following nobles will assist: Recruitment (IS Bob Burr with help from the Aides/Ambassadors), Restorations (HPP Roger Mendenhall), and Retention (1CM Merv Terrill). He further reported that he had plenty of literature, CDs, etc for the nobility to take to clubs, lodges, and meetings.

IS Dave Stevens covered the events of the upcoming CSSA Business Meeting, March 4-6, 2010. All events are at the Doubletree Hotel. The business meeting is open to the general nobility; however, to attend functions/meals they must pay. IS Dave is president of CSSA this year.

New Business

OG Brian Bate presented a picture album fund raiser for approval. Summerland Studios will be doing photo books. Brian moved for acceptance/IS Bill Sheard seconded. Passed.

Awards

Noble Bill Husted was presented a PCM Certificate from Imperial.

Reports from Clubs, Units, and Committees

Don Christian, Legion of Honor – Spaghetti Dinner, April 11, 2010 at 11:00am.

Doug Gabel, Tractor OV, March 7, Coal Creek Eureke Lodge at 3:00pm..

IS Bill Sheard, Pueblo Shrine Club breakfast to be held March 7. Also, the Mule Train breakfast held the 2nd Sunday of every month.

IS Bob Burr presented a check for $200 from Betty’s cousin, Navy Captain Diane Bechtel. Ms. Bechtel has been contributing to the Children’s Transportation Fund for a long time.

IS Steve Jordan asked for “Wow” attendance at the St. Patrick’s Day parade on March 13. Line up is 11:00am with step off around 12:00pm. Deborah is in Albuquerque assisting with her father. He thanked all that offered their concerns over him and prayers for the family.

Swede Hanson told of the corned beef and cabbage at the CSSC following the St. Patrick’s Day parade. Reservations are to be made by calling the CSSC.

Billy Swartz invited all to the CSSC OV on March 17, 2010.

Howard Magan informed us of the Grand Master’s visit to the Pueblo lodges on March 20, 2010.

Ron Bowen stated that the Al Kaly Band Swinging Shriners will play at the Corned Beef and Cabbage dinner at the CSSC.

And, Brian Bate advised of monthly prospect dinners. Bring non Shriners to club and unit meetings. This is being favorably received and is a good tool for prospective members.

With no further business, the meeting adjourned at 2:15pm.
