Events Our Marshall (Fred Kiger) informs me the Monument Parade was an out standing WOW!Thanks to all the units and Nobles who participated. Next up Durango and Monte Vista on July 31st. Don't forget we are having a big hospitality room (courtesy of Sand Dunes Shrine Club) in Alamosa on the July 30th at the Inn of the Rio Grande so make room reservations by calling 1-800-669-1658. Be sure and tell them you are a Shriner. At our Stated Meeting on Saturday Allan Ake (our Chief Rabban) reported on our Imperial session in Toronto. The biggest news was that we now have two new Temples in Shriners International, one in the Philippines and another in Puerto Rico and we voted to allow another club in Heidleberg, Germany to work on becoming a Temple. Our Short form ritual brought in two new Nobles and the Ladies Luncheon was attended by 41 Ladies telling stories about hats. The Lobster/Steak Feast on Sunday (organized by IS Dave & Maddy Stevens)was enjoyed by 60 Nobles, Ladies and guests. Click here for the rest of the article

Bowling League: August 1, 2010 at 10:00AM come to the Harmony Lanes in Colorado Springs for the beginning of this year's Shrine Family Bowling League. Now here is a chance to really be part of this Fun and Fellowship we have been telling you about. The Bowling League is open to the Nobles, their Ladies and any of the Masonic family that would like to participate. No, you don't have to be the best bowler in town to join. Since they bowl the first Sunday Morning @ 10:00 AM, every month from August through April, you can stop by the Harmony Lanes in Colorado Springs or Sunset Lanes in Pueblo and see what the competition looks like before you make a commitment. The first Sunday in April this Unit holds a Bowl-a-thon to raise money for the Children's Transportation Fund. The bowling league has been going strong since 1963 and continues to work hard to support the Children's Transportation Fund.
